Do You Know Jesus?

So what happens when you mix a combat vet, a past life of violence in a biker club, a new believer trying a new life, a motorcycle, a way-too-thin bedroll and a Bible?

You can stream Sons of Thunder from Pure Flix, a Christian-based streaming service.

From the moment I saw the trailer for Sons of Thunder I was excited to see the series.

There was a famous worldly series involving a motorcycle club that you may recall.

That show glorified violence, sex, etc. I was looking forward to a show that might have some of the same character types, but that glorified God.

In Sons of Thunder, combat-vet Simon (played by Randal Reeder) leaves his evil biker club and decides to travel across the country spreading the Word of God.

For him, it's an act of atonement. He's not sure what he's doing though and has little money.

As he travels through the country, he needs to work odd jobs and sometimes sleep on the road.

And obviously not everything goes as planned, but Simon keeps moving forward as the Lord leads.

This article serves as the kick-off point for my recap of each episode.

Don't Want Spoilers?

I get it. You haven't seen Sons of Thunder yet and you want to be surprised.

Still, you're wondering: is Sons of Thunder worth my time?

First, don't read the recap articles as it will spoil the episodes of Sons of Thunder.

And finally, yes, Sons of Thunder Season 1 is worth your time.

I'm loving it.

My wife and I look forward to Thursday nights (this is when Sons of Thunder is released).

The only thing I'm not looking forward to is the end of this first season.

It's been a great ride thus far.

Update

The first season of Sons of Thunder is now in the books and it was a great ride.

I've seen the first season a couple of times now (partly because I needed to write articles & mostly because it's just a great show).

My hope is that Sons of Thunder season 2 will show up in 2021 and that this series keeps going forward.

I encourage you to watch it.

Sons of Thunder Season One Episode Recap & Reviews

SPOILER ALERT!
Reading past here could spoil something!

Be warned that each article forward contains spoilers.

If you've seen an episode of this season and want to see my recap/review and maybe even post a comment, proceed.

For the first 3 episodes, I did a format that was more of a scene-by-scene article. My original intent was to do a recap article and then a review/comments article, but time isn't on my side.

Starting with episode 4 the format changed to my review/commentary, so if that's more what you're after, you may want to skip ahead.
